Multidisciplinary Fabrication Specialist and Animator
Roadkill Jamboree is a stop-motion/ 2D hybrid musical PSA about how roads and drivers affect animals. It centers around a comedic group of singing roadkill who originate from different areas around the California Interstate 5 highway. I wrote, directed, edited, and did the majority of the stop-motion fabrication and animation for this project. This film was made as part of the BFA Animation thesis program at San Jose State University. As well as in collaboration with the SJSU Design Department and the ska-punk band Suburban Legends. We were the first stop-motion film to come out of the SJSU BFA Animation program and the second ever music video. We could not have done this without the support of our friends, family, and professors. Thank you for believing in this wacky film. Lastly a huge thank you to our sponsor The Open Space Authority of Santa Clara Valley for helping fund our festival run and spreading our message to the rest of the world! If you would like to read more about how this film was made check out the blog posts below!
